As an artist and Christ follower, I have grown in both areas of my life simultaneously, and have always had a desire to bring them together. In 2023, the idea of this project, Glory, was birthed. I gathered my information through the making of images in the realm of documentation. At the beginning, my focus was to document the atmosphere of worship but I desired to go further for the sake of the viewers who have not experienced a worship environment. I did this through creating an environment in a non traditional worship space and inviting seven individuals into this space to simply worship. As I produced the images, worship became more than the songs that they were singing, it became a physical manifestation of what God had or was doing in their life at that moment. Worship is a fragrance offering to God, an outward expression of His Glory that has been deposited to the worshiper. From this worship, peace, surrender, embrace, vulnerability, longing, zeal, and power are brought forth.
